Christian LARTILLOT - Director & Photographer

Christian Lartillot devotes himself entirely to photography after studying political science and starting a career in diplomacy. This passion for the image was undoubtedly born from these long Sunday afternoons passed into his father's dark room where he was taking the family photos. But it's at the dawn of the year 2000 that he will reveal himself during a photoshoot in the streets of New York with dancer Lionel Hoche. That day, watching them take off the most possible, he thought that the photograph was not just a capture of the movement, but that she had to slip in, as if by breaking and entering. He tracks down the magical moment. He becomes a jubilant thief of movement. This path has led him to many encounters, the ballet of the Paris Opera to which he devoted a book in 2010, the French saber champions, the actress Liv Tyler, the young hopes of French cinema or the French Gymnastics team for which he produced a book published in 2013. Today he focuses his photographic work on fashion through the body in movement within the journal Athletica which himself created ...

"The body is a visual recreation that never ceases to inspire my desire for images” (Christian Lartillot)
