Jakob grew up in Sweden, studied in San Francisco and started his career in advertising, as an award winning Art Director. After a few years, Jakob took the leap over to the film side and became director assistant to Fredrik Bond. Quite fast, Jakob felt ready to direct on his own and joined the famous production house RAF (Renck Åkerlund Film). He directed number of commercials and music videos, winning more and more prestigious awards, thanks to his unique storytelling always with a strong visual impact. Late fall 2015, Jakob did a pro bono job for CARE Norway, an organization working for women’s rights across the globe. The result was a 5 minutes short film, viewed more than 300 million times worldwide and winning plenty of awards, also in Cannes festival.
